BASICS TO REMEMBER • Any costs to your plan must meet 9 requirements. • This is the foundation…the stepping stones…. • If the expense does not meet all 9 criteria above, it is NOT ALLOWABLE under the Support Service Rules.
2) REQUIRED to maintain or increase one or all of these things independence community participation productivity AND 1) DIRECTLY related to a specific goal on an individual’s ISP–Must be in your plan.
3) DOES NOT replace existing support system and resources AND
4) DOES NOT replace other government benefits (OVRS, Dept of Ed., SSI, Oregon Health Plan, Section 8) AND
5) COST EFFECTIVE use of public resources AND 6) NEVER a direct payment to a beneficiary AND
7) DOES NOT provide for basic needs of food, shelter, clothing AND
8) REQUIRED solely because of the direct effects of a developmental disability AND9) NEVER for activities that are purely diversional.
