  2. Ask these questions to evaluate • Is the law written in a clear language? • Is the law understandable? • When does the law go into effect? • Does the law contradict any other laws? • Is the law enforceable? • If so, by whom? • Are the penalties for breaking the law clear and reasonable?

  3. Legislative Intent • Laws must be obeyed (?) • Different interpretations – How do we know what is right? • Courts interprets through judgments • We can petition to have it changed

The Unclear Law – page 22: • Tony wants to drive through to save 10 min. • Sanitation wants to drive trucks to get trash • Police want to cut through to catch bad guy • Ambulance has dying patient • Elena wants to take a baby in a stroller • Monument of a tank is being put up • Amul has no legs and an electric wheelchair
