The main diplomatic impact was…) • focus on key details ( some scientific discoveries were… some new Indian tribes discovered were…) • use key words and phrases from article (buffalo, Shoshone etc.) • Conclude by summing up the larger idea once again. (So, the overall scientific impact was…)

  3. Writing an introductory paragraph for the DBQ • Please include a grabber (Usually establishes the historical setting) • Please include a thesis statement that includes three sub points that you will prove in your essay • Please include a transition sentence to the first body paragraph.
