  10. Foundation to Build From • Strategic Highway Safety Plans in each State • AASHTO-led Strategic Plan from 1997; updated in 2005 • Individual organizations’ objectives • Data and analysis from multiple sources

This Workshop • Begin the dialogue on what we hope to achieve through the development of this plan • Solicit input to shape the concept • Help define the process for developing the plan • who needs to be involved • how best to engage them • Identify potential barriers and obstacles • Begin developing a shared vision
