  1. In the beginning… The Silmarillion By J.R.R Tolkien PowerPoint by Ariella

  2. Feanor • Feanor is an elf from the Noldor tribe • Some say that he was born with a fire in his heart. • He was tall with piercing eyes and raven-black hair. • Feanor was determined, angry, and quick to jump to conclusions. • He was crafty and he made the Silmarils, three jewels that hold the light of extremely powerful trees. • Feanor problem is that he has to share his royalty with his brother. He feels that his brother isn’t worthy of his position and has a big fight. • Feanor thinks that the gods made him fight so he sets out of their land with his few followers.

  3. Feanor’s problem Feanor has no idea that in the shadows of the land that he is journeying through there is a dark lord named Morgoth who desperately wants the three Silmarils. While the party is walking, Morgoth decides to make his first move. He attacks the Noldor and steals the three Silmarils. This was a bad thing for the Noldor and they were very distressed. Morgoth was pleased with his work and decided to attack again. This time, the Noldor defeated most of the creatures that Morgoth sent to the war. This time, Morgoth is upset that his strong forces have been either killed or banished. He makes up his mind to attack again. When he battles Feanor in person, he mortally wounds him. On Feanor’s way to the healer, he becomes terribly weak and dies. Feanor teaches us to never give up and follow our dream, even if the road is bumpy.
