  3. The aims • To organize practical and educational activities developing the facilities of Bibliotherapy and Art Therapy, • To implement the spread of Bibliotherapy and Art Therapy in Birstonas resort, • To join skills and knowledge of librarians, doctors and psychologists.

Benefit of Bibliotherapy working with patients in the sanatorium At the end of workshops we usually ask „What was relevant and valuable for you personally?“.Examples of answers: • “The thoughts have arisen which should be put in order”; • “That you communicated with me such an old woman and welcomed me”; • “It encouraged me to go to a library again”; • “It is interesting to be among absolute strangers”; • “To hear opinions of other people and listen to them”; • “I started to think more”; • “You are invited and welcome in Birstonas library and without doubts you are enriching your inner world by communicating”; • “Warm atmosphere melts a barrier of communication, helps your mindset and self-examination”.

Stronger self-confidence appeared. The biggest impression was left by workshops of Art Therapy <...> frequently remarks of group members about pictures were quite pointed.” • “It appears that according to your drawn picture it is possible to judge about your emotional state, attitude towards yourself and others.” • “The strongest impression is opening of people, group members.” • “Art Therapy.
