  1. Mechanics for Action Planning with MABS Participating Banks Second RBAP-MABS National Roundtable Conference March 29-30, 2004 Marco Polo Hotel, Davao City

  2. Objective: • To help MABS Participating Banks plan how to expand its microfinance services, improve its productivity while maintaining high quality portfolio. • To continuously provide support to PBs through MABS available resources

  3. Process: • MABS prepared an action plan format* composed of: a) Action Plan Summary b) Planning Worksheets(for the computations) c) Diagnostic Tool (to analyze present MF operations) *Covers both Individual & Group MF Products

  4. Process: 2. These materials were sent to the PBs first week of March either through priority mail, e-mail and to some, handed personally by MABS consultants. As conveyed to banks, the accomplished forms must be sent on or before March 15, 2004. This is to give ample time for point persons to review the action plans and effectively advise the PBs about it during this afternoon’s one-on-one consultation.

  5. Process: • After lunch today, from 1 to 5 o’clock in the afternoon, PBs will have the chance to dialogue with MABS consultants regarding their action plans as well as the results of the latest EAGLES rating. Banks must bring their own copy of the action plan they have submitted to MABS. EAGLE Report Card will be provided by MABS.
