  2. One of the oldest Christmas carol is reproposed every year in the streets of Roccavivara; it is “the Pasquetta”. A group of boys in custom, in Epiphany day, sings Jesus birth and Magi adoration. A particular musical instrument used in the carol is the “Bufù”, a wooden barrel made with animal skin. …. …. …..

  3. Another tradition is “The Farchia”, a big pile of firewood, alight in Christmas eve to warm the Holy Child. In the past it was made by countrymen which went to the main square of Roccavivara and got warm around it. They took some pieces of alight logs and put them into their fireplaces, to feel the Holy Child into their houses.

  4. In the main church there is a very old statue of the Holy Child that, on the Holy Night, is exposed to let people adore and kiss it. That repeats on New Year’s Day and on Epiphany Day.

(If you conceive on Christmas Night, your baby will be a werewolf.) (If on Christmas day it’s warm and sunny, on Easter day it will be cold.)
