  1. Albinism • Form of hypopigmentary congenital disorder • Partial (hypomelanosis) or total (amelanosis) lack of pigment in the skin, eyes, and hair. • Known to affect mammals, fish, amphibians, birds and reptiles

  2. Caused by recessive alleles • Conditions associated with albinism include hypersensitivity to light and many eye problems

  3. Alopecia • Hair loss possibly to the point of baldness • Can be caused by the psychological compulsion to pull ones hair out or by an underlying medical condition

  4. When hair lose occurs in only one section it is called Alopecia Areata. • Alopecia Universialis is when total hair loss of the entire body occurs
