  1. Extension to the Link Management Protocol (LMP/DWDM -rfc4209) for Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) Optical Line Systems to manage black-link optical interface parameters of DWDM application draft-dharinigert-ccamp-g-698-2-lmp-01.txt Dharini Hiremagalur Juniper Networks GertGrammelJuniper Networks John E. 2. Motivation & Problem statement The need of this work has been highlighted during the discussion of Black Link presentations at IETF-83 and IETF-84 GOAL: Link Property correlation for WSON based Networks. Aligned with the Management Information Base (MIB) for GMPLS and WSON based networks. Extend RFC4209 with WDM link properties defined by application codes NON-GOAL: LMP is neither a signaling nor a routing protocol

  3. Changes from last submission • Update revision draft-dharinigert-ccamp-g-698-2-lmp-01.txt • Modified: • Added explanatory text in introduction • Addressed comments • Kept alignment with draft-galikunze-ccamp-g-698-2-snmp-mib-01.txt • Changed units for frequency from GHz to THz • Cosmetic changes IETF 85 - Atlanta

  4. Next Steps • Get ccampconsensusto go for WG status • Include non-G.698.2 application codes and • Adapt document title to reflect this • Keep alignment to other ccamp drafts mainly in the MIB space IETF 85 - Atlanta
