Green Cellular Network: Deployment Solutions, Sensitivity and Tradeoffs By SushantBhardwaj SB3322
Objective • The paper investigates how different techniques like sleep mode operation, variable cell size and veriticalsectorization, can reduce both radio transmission and operational energy consumption for a muti-cell and multi-user LTE cellular network.
Results • Sleep mode is a useful mechanism for a lighltly loaded small cell deployment scenario. • Vertical Sectorization is beneficial for medium to large cell deployment scenario. • Slleep mode and vertical sectorization can improve the tradeoff between power consumption and throughput QoS.
Energy Matrics: • Power consumption • Energy consumption Ratio • Energy Reduction Gain
Cell Deployment: • Sleep mode operation • Vertical Sectorization
