AS ON NEW YEAR… • It’s said to be unlucky to sweep the room, because you could sweep out all your luck. • you also shouldn’t eat poultry because your luck could fly away. • Housewife musn’t do the laundry or clean up otherwise she would be overworked herself and bring home death. • On the New Year’s table should be some lentils, which brings money, and some pork because piggy symbolizes luck.
