  1. Newton’s Laws Designing a poster

  2. Create a poster on Newton’s Laws • 1. You need a title • 2. Divide your paper into three sections. Explain each law in your own words. • 3. You need at least 2 pictures representing each law and explainhow the picture relates to the law. • It needs to be neat and colorful. • Use your creativity to design the poster. • Each person in your group needs a responsibility. • 1) Member 1-Title and definitions of Newton’s Laws • 2) Member 2- draw two ex. of 1st law & explain • 3)Member 3- Draw two ex. Of 2nd law & explain • 4) Member 4- Draw two ex. Of 3rd law & explain

  3. Newton’s Laws 1st law - An object will stay at rest or continue at a constant velocity unless an unbalanced force acts on it. Inertia -tendency of an object to resist any change in motion 2nd law - Acceleration depends on the object’s mass and net force acting on the object F=M x A or A = F/M If the mass is constant, the more force causes more acceleration. If the force is constant, the more mass will cause less acceleration. Unbalanced forces cause a change in motion. Forces cause motion. 3rd law - For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction

  4. Science Standard 8.e.f • e. when the forces on an object are unbalanced the object will change its motion (that is, it will speed up, slow down, or change direction). f. the greater the mass of an object the more force is needed to achieve the same change in motion. • Objective: • 1. Determine Newton’s 1st, 2nd & 3rd law. • 2. Apply Newton’s Laws to different situations by creating a poster.
