  • 23,500 students dropped out of High School in NC during the school year 2006-07

  • Cost of $169 million dollars annually to the taxpayers of NC

  • 4 yr graduation rate reported in 05-06 was 69.5% reflecting an actual dropout rate of 30.5%

The Drop Out Rate Will Decrease And The Graduation Rate Will Increase If:

  • Grade 11 & 12 Dropouts Complete The Program Before The Target Date (21st Day Of The Next School Year)

  • Grade 9 & 10 Dropouts Are Recovered and Return To School Before The Target Date (21st Day Of The Next School Year)
