2010 Outlook – Global Recession is Over
  • Very gradual turnaround in worldwide intermodal trade
  • U.S. market will lag behind other markets (particularly Asia)
  • U.S. imports will remain depressed, expect to be slightly above 2009 levels
  • U.S. exports will improve moderately
  • Strengthening growth into 2011-12

  • Total U.S. Chassis Fleet – 825,000 (approx. 50% leased)
  • Declined in 2009 by 35,000 (or 4.2 %)
