  2. Extrication: • Is an organized, systematic set of planned activities with the objective of safely freeing or disentangling the victim as rapidly, yet as safely as possible.

  3. Disentanglement: • Removal of the victim from the vehicle or removing the wreckage from the victim.

  4. Rescue: An organized, systematic means of: • Locating the injured • Accessing the injured = (extrication) • Stabilizing the injured • Transporting the injured

  5. Golden Hour “Golden Hour begins the moment injuries are sustained” 1 seconds Vs 1800 seconds

  6. Goal: “Deliver a viable patient to an appropriate trauma center within the given 1800 seconds.”
