  3. 1st Objective • Ability to read with understanding written material in a variety of forms, and to comment its effectiveness. • Written in the following forms: • Genre • Human interest (Hobby) • Writer’s Purpose • Specific purpose in the 4 main (persuade, audience, ridicule, scare) • Tone • Persuasive, humorous, sarcasm, critical, etc

  4. 2nd Objective • Knowledge and understanding of features of English Language. • To identify: • Vocabulary • Choice of Word • Structure • Figures of speech

  5. 3rd Objective • Ability to write clearly, accurately, and effectively for a purpose or audience. Directed writing is producing pieces of writing similar to the original passage that you comment.
