  2. Cover Letter This year in science I have learned and experienced many new things. We have learned about the periodic table and elements with a project following that unit. We are now learning about Earth science. One of my favorite projects that we have done in science this year was the periodic table of elements project. I really liked this project because my partner and I were both interested in the topic we chose which made it fun and interesting to complete. We also have learned about Earth’s seafloor and did a project on the spreading of Earth’s seafloor which was one of my least favorite things we have done in science. Each day in class we listen to a 60 second science to start the hour. 60 second sciences are short audio clips teaching about current things that are happening. I like listening to these because I gain so much knowledge and when I come home I like to talk to my family about what we talked about that day.

  3. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being best) rate yourself on your ability to complete all the assignments for class. Why? Rating: 5 I turn in all assignments neat and on time All assignments I turn in are organized and most of the time accurate I have never had a late or missed assignment

  4. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being best) rate yourself on your class time effort and positive contributions to class discussions. Why? Rating: 4 Rarely contribute to class discussion during TED Talks or 60 Second Sciences. I use my class time wisely to complete all assignments. I do not use my time talking to my friends and try to get my homework done in class.

  5. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being best) rate yourself on your ability to work with others in class. Why? Rating: 5 I am flexible with who I am partners with for any projects and assignments. I work well with anyone I am paired up with.

  6. Describe items you want to improve upon for next quarter/year. Why? Next quarter/year I would like to work on not procrastinating as much as I do this year. I know that next year in high school it will be very hard to be successful and not using my time wisely at home. I would like to check Mr. Mixon’s blog more often and do the reading pages that go along with each unit. I also would like to work on participating a little more in class discussions.

  7. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being best) describe what went well in this school year. Why? Rating: 4.5 I feel that I tried really hard to be successful in science this year. I am a good listener, I study for quizzes and tests and I complete all homework neat and turn it in on time. I think that while completing lab reports I need to make sure that they are in the correct order and that I go into much depth in answering the questions.
