Essential Standards for Information and Technology in All Subjects This School Year

This school year, all classroom teachers are required to teach Information and Technology Essential Standards (NC ITES) across all subject areas. These standards focus on sources of information, the use of informational texts, and technology as a tool in the research process. Key objectives include accessing and gathering data, organizing information, communicating effectively, and understanding safety and ethical issues related to technology. Collaboration with media coordinators and technology facilitators is encouraged to seamlessly integrate these standards into classroom instruction.
