Early Life • Edward Hopper was born in Nyack, New York in 1882 • His house was right next to the Hudson River • He always liked to draw as a kid • He even drew on the walls and floors!
Later Life • Ed got a job at an advertisement company, but didn’t like it • He tried to sell his paintings but they didn’t sell very well at first, but then they started to sell really well • He got married a women named Jo- she was often used as a model in his paintings
