  1. 6 Tips On Oral Hygiene For You To Remember… The oral hygiene is very important. If you do not take care of your teeth, then it could lead to affecting overall health. If you have a poor oral hygiene, it can lead to dental and medical problems in the future such as gum disease, infection, bone loss, heart disease, strokes, etc. Regular check-ups and visits to your dentist can prevent these problems. Here Are The 6 Tips For Oral Hygiene: 1. Brushing twice a day: It is necessary to brush your teeth twice a day. When you eat the food, particles stick in the mouth and can create the plaque. Thus to avoid any dental complications, brush the teeth before you go to sleep and once after the morning breakfast. 2. Flossing after every brush: The brushing may not reach every corner of your teeth. Thus, the flossing will help you clean the particles from the remote area and clean your mouth thoroughly. The flossing helps, where even mouthwash cannot help. 3. Avoid tobacco/alcohol/soda/sweeteners: IF you avoid tobacco, you will be doing a great favor to your mouth. Firstly, it will save you from mouth cancer and from the countless ill effects caused by the agents used to mask the smell of tobacco. The sweetening items also damage your oral hygiene as well as other internal organs. The soda, alcohol as well as other sweet beverages could affect the bones and reduce the good effect of calcium, resulting in teeth damage. 4. Using mouth fresheners: The mouth fresheners are quite effective but only if they are used with brush and floss. You need not brush every time after brushing, but you can always use mouth freshener after a meal. However, the mouthwash is just the cherry on top, not the whole solution. 5. Consume more calcium: The calcium makes bone and teeth stronger. You should always consume calcium rich foods like dairy products, banana, fortified orange juice, broccoli, etc. You can also take calcium supplements according to your age and necessities. Copper, zinc, iodine, iron and potassium are also required for maintaining healthy dental hygiene. 6. Clean your tongue: Many individuals think cleaning tongue is optional, but it is not. If you do not clean your tongue, you will not be able to maintain oral hygiene thoroughly. You have to use the professional tongue cleaner which is available on platforms like Amazon, EBay, etc and you can remove countless bacteria. These bacteria live on the rougher top surface of your tongue.
