On your own paper, create a vocabulary chart with 12 rows (one for each WK8 word) and 6 columns: Term, Sentence, Definition, Part of Speech, Synonym, Key Word/Image. • In class (5-minute bellwork): Copy terms and sentences word for word from the slide. • At home (3 each night): Write definition, part of speech, and synonym—based on sentence context—in your own words. • Before test: Add a key word or image to help you remember the term on the test.

  4. Note that roots follow different chart rules.
