INTRODUCTION • Galfar Engineering and Contracting SAOG is founded by Dr P Mohamed Ali. • Galfar Engineering is known as one of the largest Engineering, Contracting and Construction company in the Sultanate of Oman. • An article in Economic times, claims it to be one of the top Five Engineering Contractors across the Gulf. • It was established in January, 1972. • It has a turnover of US$1 billion. Galfar employs over 23,000 workers, only in Oman, with more than 7,000 different kinds of plant and equipment. • It has Operations and Presence in all corners of the Sultanate. • Galfar Engineering & Contracting SAOG (Galfar) is Oman’s largest construction company with EPC capability in Oil & Gas, Roads & Bridges and Civil & Utilities sectors operating in Oman, other GCC countries as well as India.

LATEST NEWS AND MILESTONES • Galfar bags order from Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company LLC • Galfar clinches contract from BP Exploration (Epsilon) Ltd- Oman • Galfar bags Hospital Project from Royal Oman Police • Confirming Award of Dualization of Barka-Nakhal Road Project to the Company, RO 64,961,425 • Galfar has been awarded the Dualization of Nizwa-Ibri Road (stage 2) from Jibrin to Ibri -Option 2- (from Km 75+000 to 127+850 Balance Works) for RO 28,031,941,by Ministry of Transport & Communications. The completion period is 18 months • Galfar wins contract from Oman Electricity Transmission Company • P Mohamed Ali has also featured in list of top 10 richest and influential personality in UAE. • Galfar has been awarded the Best Infrastructure Project Award- 2014 for Hasik Ash Shuweimiyah Road Project
