  1. Paradise (Jannah) Module 1 – Circle 5

  2. Can a Human Being imagine what Paradise is like? The Messenger of Allah said, ‘Allah said: “I have created for My righteous servants what no eye has seen and no ear has heard, nor has it occurred to the human heart. Thus recite if you wish, ‘No soul knows what joy has been kept hidden for them’ (Qur’an 32:12).” (Bukhari & Muslim) Module 1 – Circle 5

  3. How will people enter Paradise? Abu Hurairah (ra) narrated that, ‘The Messenger of God pbuh once said, “Whoever meets the expense of a couple’s marriage from his own wealth for the sake of God shall be summoned from every gate of Heaven. Heaven has eight gates: whoever was of the people of Prayer shall be called from the Gate of Prayer; whoever was of the people of Fasting shall be called from the Gate of Fasting; whoever was of the people of Charity (al-sadaqa) shall be called from the Gate of Charity; and whoever was of the people of Jihad shall be called from the Gate of Jihad.” And Abu Bakr (ra) said, “By God, not one of us minds from which gate he shall be summoned. But shall anyone be summoned from them all?” “Yes,” he replied, “And I hope that you shall be amongst them”.’ (Bukhari) Module 1 – Circle 5

  4. Will people be the same in Paradise as they are on Earth? The Messenger of God pbuh once said, “The faces of the first group of people to enter Heaven shall be as the moon on the night when it is full. Therein shall they never spit, sneeze, or void their bowels..... There arise no differences among them, neither any hatred: their hearts are as one. By morning and evening they shall proclaim the glory of God.” (Bukhari and Muslim) Module 1 – Circle 5

  5. Will there be any hardship in Paradise? Abu Hurayra reported, ‘God’s Messenger pbuh has said, “On the Day of Arising a herald shall call out, saying, ‘You shall be in health, and never fall ill! You shall live, and never die! You shall be young, and never age! You shall be in comfort, and never in any hardship!’ This is what He (God) has declared (Great and Glorious is He!): “And they were called: This is Heaven; you have inherited it because of what you used to do”.’ (Qur’an 7:43). (Muslim) Module 1 – Circle 5

  6. How tall and of what age will the people of Paradise be? It was narrated that Abu Hurairah (ra) said: The Messenger pbuh said: “Allah created Adam in his form, sixty cubits tall… and everyone who enters Paradise will be in the form of Adam, sixty cubits* tall…” (Bukhari 5873) *[1 cubit = 17-22 inches] It was narrated from Mu’aadh ibn Jabal that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The people of Paradise will enter Paradise hairless, beardless with their eyes anointed with kohl, aged thirty or thirty-three years.”  (Tirmidhi 2545) Module 1 – Circle 5

  7. Will we be allowed to do whatever we want in Paradise? Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet pbuh was narrating a story while there was a bedouin man near him... “One of the dwellers of Paradise will seek the permission of his Lord for the cultivation (of fields). He will ask him: ‘Have you not (already) got what you desire?’ He will reply, ‘Yes, but I like to cultivate crops’. Then he will spread seed and soon its growth and its reaping will take place and it will be like mountains. The Almighty Allah will say, ‘(Go) off (and enjoy), O son of Adam! Because nothing (else) will satisfy you!’” The (simple) desert Arab then said, “By God, you will not find him to be any other than a member of the Quraish (from Mecca) or the Ansar (of Medina) because they are agriculturists. As for us, we are not”. Then the Messenger of Allah laughed. (Bukhari) Module 1 – Circle 5

  8. Will we have access to things which we desired in this life? A man once came to the Messenger of God pbuh and asked, “Will there be horses in Heaven, for they please me greatly?” “If you should so desire,” he replied, “You will be brought a horse of ruby which will fly with you in Heaven wherever you please.” Another man said to him, “I am fond of camels; shall there be any camels in Heaven?” and he answered, “O servant of God! if you are received into Heaven then you shall have therein whatever your soul desires and your eye finds delectable.” (Tirmidhi and Ahmed) Module 1 – Circle 5

  9. What will the people of Paradise eat first? A Jew asked that the Prophet pbuh, "What will they be presented with when they enter Paradise?" He said, "The caudate [extra] lobe of fish liver." The Jew asked, "What will they eat after that?" The Prophet pbuhsaid, "The bull, which is grazing now in Paradise, will be slaughtered for them." The Jew asked, "What will they drink after that?" He said, "From a spring called Salsaabeel." The Jew said, "You have spoken the truth." (Muslim) [Ibn Katheer, an-Nihaayah, 2/270] Module 1 – Circle 5

  10. What will the people of Paradise drink? Allah's Messenger said, "In Paradise there is a great river of water, a great river of honey, a great river of milk and a great river of wine; then smaller rivers are divided off them." (Tirmidhi) "Around them will be passed a cup of pure wine; white, delicious to the drinkers. Neither will they have ghoul [any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, etc] from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom" [37:45-47] Module 1 – Circle 5

  11. Will people be with their families? ‘And those who believe and whose families follow them in faith - to them shall We join their families (in Heaven)’ (Qur’an 52:21). Abu Sa’id al-Khudri said, “The Messenger of God (may God bless him and grant him peace) said, “A man in Heaven shall have a child just as he desires, whose gestation, weaning and youth shall be in a single hour.” (Ibn Majah & Tirmidhi) Module 1 – Circle 5

  12. Will people remember their lives on Earth? The Messenger of God pbuh said, “When Heaven's people are settled in, friends will yearn for one another, and the couch of one will travel to that of another so that they meet and discuss what had passed between them in the worldly abode. One of them will say, ‘O my brother, do you recall such-and-such a day, and such-and-such an assembly, when we prayed to God and He forgave us?’” (Abu Nu’aym and Bayhaqi) Module 1 – Circle 5

  13. Are there levels in Paradise? Abu Sa’id al-Khudri narrated that, ‘The Messenger of God pbuh once said, “The people of Heaven shall see the people of the Chambers above them just as you behold the morning and evening star when it lies above the horizon; so great is the discrepancy between them in merit.” “O Messenger of God,” [the Companions] said, “Will those be the mansions of the Prophets, who alone may attain them”. “But no,” he replied. “By Him in Whose hand lies my soul, therein shall be men who had faith in God, and believed the Messengers.”’ (Bukhari and Muslim) “Verily, Paradise has one hundred levels and between each level is a distance like the distance between the earth and the sky.” (Bukhari) Module 1 – Circle 5

  14. Which is the highest level in Paradise? The Messenger pbuh said, “When you ask Allah swt for Jannah, ask for Firdaws.” (Tirmidhi) 'Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As reported that Allah's Messenger pbuh said: When you hear the Mu'adhdhin, repeat what he says, then invoke a blessing on me, for everyone who invokes a blessing on me will receive ten blessings from Allah; then beg from Allah al-Waseela for me, which is a rank in Paradise fitting for only one of Allah's servants, and I hope that I may be that one. If anyone who asks that I be given the Waseela, he will be assured of my intercession. (Muslim 4:0747) Module 1 – Circle 5

  15. What is the greatest reward in Paradise? Suhaib (ra) reported: The Messenger of Allah pbuh said, “When the inhabitants of Jannah enter Jannah, Allah, the Glorious and Exalted, will say to them: `Do you wish me to give you anything more?’ They will reply: `Have You not made our faces bright? Have You not brought us into Jannah and delivered us from the Hell?’ And Allah will remove the Veil. The (dwellers of Jannah) will feel that they have not been awarded anything dearer to them than looking at their Lord.” [Sahih Muslim]. Module 1 – Circle 5
