  3. Put yourself into the mind of a dictator. What is the best way to control people in your country. Conduct a ‘networking’ task to decide on the most powerful ways to control people. What other methods not on the cards would you include?

  4.  Your task • Read p.44-45 (Wilkes) or p.80-81 (SHP) and take notes on the different methods used by the Nazis to control people: • Gestapo • Police & law courts • SS • Concentration camps • Henchmen like Himmler • Informers  Do modern governments use any of these techniques? What stops them from doing so?
