  1. Evaluation Question 5 How did you attract your target audience? By Azhar Choudhury

  2. How our target audience interacts with the media: The target audience of our media product is people aged between 15-30. The internet is one of the best ways to reach our audience, as they are constantly using it. It also enables us to market our movie globally. For example, we could make an advert on YouTube where if a person searches for something related to our movie; an advert of our movie would appear near the search results. Another way we were planning to market our product is through test screenings in Brighton. Our aim is to have successful marketing through word of mouth. Word of mouth is essential marketing method when it comes to new movies. Additionally we were thinking about billboard advertising and television advertising.

  3. How will you attract your audience to watch your specific film? In order to get our audience to actually view our specific film, we were thinking casting actors which people might of seen in other thriller movies. This way it has the connotations of a good movie as there is renown actor in it. The unique selling point of our movie is the name itself, ‘Inconceivable’ , meaning the unthinkable. This automatically generates a question to the mind of what this movie could be about. Another uniqueness of movie is the ending. Like the movie ‘Se7en’ we want to create that exhilaration at the end where audience think that it’s going to end one way, but it ends in such a thrilling twist at the end.

  4. Feedback We gathered some feedback from a group of people to determine whether our movie was effective in terms of genre, Mise-en-scene and technically. Here are some of the things which we discovered from the feedback: • Genre • Then screaming is suspenseful and makes the audience jump. • The blood connotes violence and the mystery on how it got on the characters hand. It also makes the narrative more intriguing. • The discovery of the body connotes crime and death, linking in with the narrative. • Ordinary person in an ordinary house directly relates to the genre, as it is unexpected for danger to happen in a safe environment. • Mise-en-Scene • Costume makes the character look like he’s in his 20’s- conventional • The character through the window adds suspense- hidden identity/mysterious • The lighting was well balanced in each room.

  5. Feedback • Technical Aspects: • The use of black and white freeze frames were very effective • Sound FX and track worked really well with all the scenes • There was continuity throughout the whole Opening Title Sequence • The Foley sounds were excellently produced • The emphasis of blood on the hands made it more thrilling.
