  1. About the quality of labor program • The program is a community tool for existing and prospective businesses to learn community workforce attributes • The Quality of Labor survey responses are confidential and are only reported in aggregate • The findings show existing employers perspectives at one point in time • A third party independent consultant is used for aggregate reporting and administration • Measurements used in the program are based on a 1 to 5 scale, 5 represents a high score • Existing employers and potential employers initially evaluate workforce skill, workforce availability and wages • There are four primary areas of the survey program: 12 quality and 12 skill characteristics, wage data, and fringe benefit information (not collected by any other source) • There is other important information consisting of average age of employees, shift differential, commuting distances, and other attributes of business and workforce issues

The report release date is February of 2013 • A recommendation to local developers: incorporate the desired information in the report(s) into your community’s website and/or location information so it shows in your community’s formatted information for continuity of look. • Communities will want to show it was conducted and administered by a third party independent source, Growth Services Group, Jefferson City, Missouri.
