  1. “God Told Me To Do It.” Plano, TX - Dena Schlosser cuts off her baby’s arms, baby dies. Tyler, TX - Deanna Laney kills her two children, injures third. Freehold, NJ - Russell Miraglia killed his grandmother and ex-girlfriend.

  2. “God Told Me To Do It.” If God Speaks To Man Apart From His Word Today, Then… • God is a respecter of persons! • Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him (Acts 10:34-35). • For there is no partiality with God (Rom. 2:11).

  3. “God Told Me To Do It.” If God Speaks To Man Apart From His Word Today, Then… • God acts contrary to His Word! • God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds (Heb. 1:1-2). • See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven (Heb. 12:25).

  4. “God Told Me To Do It.” God Speaks Through His Word To Us Today! But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual (1 Cor. 2:9-13).

  5. “God Told Me To Do It.” God Speaks Through His Word To Us Today! GOD How that by revelation He made known to me the mystery, as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ (Eph. 3:3-4). HOLY SPIRIT APOSTLES WORD

  6. “God Told Me To Do It.” If God Speaks To Man Apart From His Word Today, Then… • God’s Word is not the final authority! • He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day (Jn. 12:48). • As I urged you when I went into Macedonia—remain in Ephesus that you may charge some that they teach no other doctrine (1 Tim. 1:3).

  7. “God Told Me To Do It.” If God Speaks To Man Apart From His Word Today, Then… • God’s Word is not the final authority! • I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed (Gal. 1:6-9).

  8. “God Told Me To Do It.” If God Speaks To Man Apart From His Word Today, Then… • The Scriptures are misleading! • All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Tim. 3:16-17). • For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him… (Col. 2:9-10). • The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple (Ps. 19:7).

  9. “God Told Me To Do It.” If God Speaks To Man Apart From His Word Today, Then… • There is no standard of right and wrong! • For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith” (Rom. 1:16-17). • Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 Jn. 4:1).

  10. “God Told Me To Do It.” If God Speaks To Man Apart From His Word Today, Then… • There is no standard of right and wrong! • and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness (2 Thess. 2:10-12).

  11. God Told Me in the Bible… • Believe in Jesus (Jn. 8:24) • Repent of my sins (Lk. 13:3) • Confess Christ before men (Matt. 10:32) • Be baptized (Mk. 16:16) • These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God (1 John 5:13).
