  2. Data Folder • My Data Talk Folder Table of Contents • Pre OAA Data • Academic Achievement Goal Sheet • SCA Data • Pencil (with eraser) • Highlighter • Red, Orange, Yellow, Green Crayon Materials

  3. Go to DASHBOARD • Click on BENCHMARK ASSESSMENTS • Choose the assessment • Click on the teacher’s name • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on • Print Locate Data

  4. At first you might want to do this in a small group of 4 to build a strong foundation of exactly how you want them to do this. • In the future this can be done whole group and very quickly – especially for grades 3-8. Data Talks

  5. This sheet is to be filled out by theteacher(except for the spot where the student initials) • Write in Student Name, Grade and Subject • Fill in the Pre OAA score • The date is the date when the student took the test and it can be found on the Student Report Sheet • The topic is Pre OAA, SCA 1, SCA 2, etc. • Comments for Pre OAA Data could be the student’s goal for the end of the year • Comments for SCA Data could be what the student needs to work on Table of Contents

  6. Enrichment – good job, you got this • Practice – you understood some of this skill but you need a little more practice in this area • Reteach – things to work on to improve your score next time Explain

  7. Highlight the STUDENT’S SCORE • Highlight and discuss the skills in the Enrichment Section • Highlight and discuss the skills in the Practice Section • Highlight and discuss the skills in the Reteach Section • Put the Pre OAA Data Sheet behind the Table of Contents Pre OAA Data

This sheet goes behind the Pre OAA Data • It is set up for 7 SCA so there will be one sheet for each semester • This sheet is to be written on ONLY by the student • Carefully walk them through how to fill this sheet out so that they will be able to do this on their own in the future • Provide a copy and follow the Student Steps on How to Fill Out the Academic Achievement Goal Sheet Academic Achievement Goal Sheet

  9. Write your first and last name small so that it fits on that itty bitty line • Write your grade level • Write your goal for the year Student Steps for How to Fill Out Academic Achievement Goal Sheet(Beginning of each semester only)

  10. Get all A’s and B’s • Pass the OAA • Get Proficient or higher on the OAA • Become a better reader. Ideas for Goals for the Year

Highlight the date that the test was taken • Highlight the student’s score • Highlight the key words of the skills in the enrichment, practice, and reteach section – for example if it says “AV6 Uses knowledge of contractions” you could highlight the word contractions so that the student knows that this is the skill that they did well on or needs to work on Before you pass out the SCA Data Sheet

  12. Write the SCA number • Write the date that you took the test (this can be found on your SCA Data Sheet) • Teacher will provide the Indicator(s)/Topic/Title • Find your score on the SCA Data Sheet • Write your score in the appropriate box under the correct color range • Color the box that has the color word in it (not the box with your score) Student Steps for How to Fill Out Academic Achievement Goal Sheet(for each SCA)
