  1. Welcome To Room 26 Mrs. Moise’s Fourth Grade Classroom Alvin Dunn Elementary, an International Baccalaurate School

  2. What is an IB school? International Baccalaurate is an established system of education that strives to teach the whole child. It is not just math or reading, but trains children how to navigate within our school, our community, and our world. We believe this structure helps to advance students, and support them throughout their education. It is Inquiry Based education, meaning students are required to ask questions and take responsibility for their learning. Teachers serve as guides, facilitators, and give support as students investigate curricular areas based on the Common Core State Standards. There are overriding themes that challenge students to become responsible citizens and caretakers of our world.

  4. My Philosophy I believe that students learn best in a structured, cooperative learning environment. I believe that students can reach their highest potential with the collaborative efforts of students, parents, teachers, and support staff. I believe that my role is not only to educate, but to inform, nurture, respect, and build the characters of each individual child I teach. I believe that all students should be granted the right to a positive, engaging, stimulating learning experience.
