Moral Rectitude and the Paper War • Assessments and more assessments in many institutions and virtually no assessments in others. • How many Nurse hours are spent in Nurse –assessment and writing up the assessment? • How really effective are many assessments in helping a Nurse be really competent and confident?

  4. Let Each Day be your Masterpiece • What has happened to the personal integrity of Registered Nurses and Midwives? • What has happened to the integral value of the handover from one Registered Nurse to another? • Where does critical thinking and professional discussion come in to each Duty? • Who is the Nurse’s Advocate?

  5. Nurse Power - Fact or Fiction! • Have we become hungry for power but not for purity? • Have we lost our authority because we have confused power and authority with self-assertive and aggressive power? • What do we stand for? • Has comparative-righteousness become the norm for Nurses?

  6. Who is the Nurse’s Advocate? • The Government? • The NZNO? • The Nursing Council of New Zealand? • The Te Runanga? • Tongan Nurses Association? • Samoan Nurses Association? • The Pacifica Nurses Association? • In your nation? • The Patient or client?

  7. Who is the Nurse’s true Advocate The LORD Jesus Christ said • “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” John 15 : 16.

  8. Our True Advocate’s Interest in Nurses Is by offering each Nurse: • Redemption • Regeneration • Righteousness We choose to accept

  9. Our True Advocate’s Defense Prayer We pray, He answers Protection ‘The LORD is my helper, I will not fear. Hebrews 13:6 Provision ‘And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.’ John 10:28 Perseverance ‘But the LORD stood with me and strengthened me…and the LORD delivered me from every evil work and preserved me for...’ 2 Timothy 4:17

For all Nurses in Every Nation Pray, if possible two Nurses together: • To learn how to claim the intervening power of the only true Advocate Jesus Christ • To understand better our central role of advocacy in Nursing • For guidance in becoming better advocates for truth and justice, with compassion and love, and grace and mercy, in the complex relationships in the health services.
