  1. Scientific Method

  2. What is the scientific Method? • The scientific method are the steps you take when conducting an experiment • There are six steps to the scientific method: • Asking a question • Doing research • Making a hypothesis • Test the hypothesis with a experiment • Analyze data for conclusion • Report the results

  3. Step one and two • Step one ask questions such as why, when, how, where, who or what to something you have observed. • The question has to be something you can solve. • Step two do research, start looking on the Internet, journals, library to get information and see past errors. So you wont repeat them!!!

  4. Step three and four • Step three form a hypothesis. A hypothesis is an educated guess to answer your question • Step four, test your hypothesis. Conduct an experiment to test your hypothesis.

  5. Step 5 • Step 5 Analyze data for conclusion • It is easier to understand the data if it is put into a table or graph. Create a graph in Microsoft Excel and import it here. • Make sure all data is clearly labeled.

  6. Step 6 • Step 6 form a conclusion, report results • You need to indicate whether or not the data supports the hypothesis and explain why or why not.
