  3. Adopt 21st century teaching approaches, to manage and create effective oral, written and multimedia communication in a variety of forms and contexts. LONG TERM GOALS

  4. Short- Term Goals • Develop interpersonal and collaborative skills • Enhance students word power, so that they can illustrate their views in better vocabulary • Polish students’ innate talents and to provide a ground, where they can express their creative potentials and constructive ideas. • To be skilled in the usage of grammar ; reinforcement exercises

Time Line For August 2011 • 2nd Week: • Comprehension ‘Snakes’ • Present perfect and Past perfect tense • News article ‘Saving lives with poison’ • The Son’s Veto • 1st Week: • Orientation Week • Introduction to the text books • Familiarization with the classmates • Diagnostic test • 3rd Week: • Poetry • News Article ‘So Long’ • The Son’s Veto • Report writing

Application of Bloom’s Taxonomy Learning Objectives: Students will be able to learn and practice the use of Present and Past perfective with the auxiliary have Productivity Tools: www.nonstopenglish.com www.englishclub.com www.google.com.pk BBC English Learning Values: The value of having but having means having only what is enough

  8. Level 1: Remembering Brainstorm session to judge students prior knowledge through various examples. Level 4: Analyzing Through peer checking, students will point out their errors. Level 5: Evaluating Students will be evaluated through dialogue conversation. Level 2: Understanding I’ll explain the rules to clarify the concept. Level 3: Applying Students will be given a worksheet to change the sentences into perfect tense. Level 6: Creating MS Word will be used by the students or a well written passage, using perfect tense.

SOLUTIONS TO ANTICIPATED CHALLENGES PROBLEMS • Very few students are interested in visiting the olcsn website • Some students complain that they are unable to open the password through their roll numbers. • Students and parents will notice that grammar is not being focused in the new session. • SOLUTIONS • Those worksheets should be marked for the term marks. • As the information or worksheet is the same for all the students, they can access the site through a friend’s password. • Students will be informed that as per CIE pattern, more emphasis will be laid on comprehension and creative writing.
