  2. Klaipeda City Municipality Administration • Klaipėda is the third largest city in Lithuania. • Klaipėda city municipality council is the governing body of the Klaipėda city municipality. It is responsible for municipal laws. The council is composed of 31 member elected for four-year terms.

Klaipedacityhas 8,147 disabledpersonsofworkingage (from 18 yearsprior to retirement);879 childrenwithdisabilities;32,155 personsofretirementage, ofwhom 2,941 are disabled. • SituationwithpublictoiletsinKlaipedaCityisverypoor, especialythereishighdemandofpublictoilets at thebeaches. Thebeachesof Klaipėda are oneofthebiggestattractionsintheCity. Increaseintouristtrafficismonitoredand also thenumberofvisitorswithspecialneedsisgrowing.

Mainactivityinproject • Adaptions (investments) ininfructure- beachenvironment. • Installationofpublictoiletswhich are adaptedfordisabledpeoplewillmakethebeachesand also theCityofKlaipedamoreattractivefortourists, citizensand also fordisabledpeople, forthemisnowextremelydifficult to obtaintheseservices.

  5. Summary • Thisprojectwillhelp to solveoneofthemostpressingurbanproblem - lackofpublictoilets, which are adaptedfordisabledpeople, at thebeachesoftheCity, that’swhythisprojectis a capitallyimportantforKlaipedaCityandtheentirecoastalregion.
