LRO Camera (LROC) PDS Data Node Status • LROC Data Node • Arizona State University, School of Earth and Space Exploration, Mark Robinson (LROC PI) • Active throughout nominal and extended Mission phases • Launch Oct 2008, Nominal EOM Feb 2010, Extended Mission Feb 2010 to Jan 2013 (3 yr) • Data Node support and funding provided by LRO Mission (through Nominal EOM + 6 months) • ICD defines data node interface with Imaging Node • Mission Operations Center (MOC) and Science Operations Center (SOC) design and planning (initiated summer 2006) • Documents and Agreements • PDS-Imaging Node – LROC Interface Control Document (ICD) (Completed Oct 2006) • Data Management and Archive Plan (Final Version in Progress) (Schedule attached) • Science Operations Center (SOC) Requirements (Completed Sept 2006) • LROC-PDS Interface Activities • FY06 & FY07 (LDWG telecon meetings; review/establish documents & agreements; interface testing and IT plans; SIS reviews; data set peer review; Mission, Instrument, & Science Team meetings as required) • Ground System and Operations Testing (throughout FY08) • Support E2E testing as required (FY08 schedule as established in FY07) • Distribution Array Testing (May-Oct 2008) • Prep for/anticipate full operations by LRO launch (start of FY09) • Software interface support as required (s/w releases, validation, data ingestion, product/profile servers, testing, etc) • Products and services to be transferred to Imaging Node when Data Node is dissolved Nov 2006
