  2. Donor Relations Program • To facilitate cutting down on number of low-margin-volunteer-intensive events • Target donors for project-specific contributions • Need to keep donors updated about Projects with personal follow-up, in order to stimulate their interest

Chapter Events by Raised Funds in 1H2004 • Nayikas Dance Performance: Loss of $1,600 • Intense comedy night/Booths: < $200 • Organizational Lessons Learned: • Having at least one corporate sponsor for a concert • Staying away from performers with high costs associated • More time in planning, publicity, execution of events

Project Update • New projects reviewed: • Project in Ladakh, Kashmir (Dec-Jan) • Project in Shantiniketan, West Bengal (Dec-Jan) • Rahul Multidisciplinary Resource Center (working with slums in Delhi) • Initiated Support-A-Child (SAC) program for Sarada Kalyan Bhandar (SKB). • Site Visits: • SKB - July 2004 • Other Events: • Talk by Balaji and Kalpana Sampath from Tamil Nadu Science Forum (TNSF)

Upcoming Chapter Events during 2H2004 • Asha 5k run/walk – Aug 21st • Charity Ball – November • Asha Full/Half Marathons • Marine Corps Marathon in Washington DC (Oct 31st - 10 Runners) • NYC Marathon ( Nov 7th - 5 runners) • Long Beach Marathon (2 runners) • Chicago Marathon (1 Runner) • Brussels Marathon (1 Runner) • Half Marathon (6 Runners)
