Instead of focusing on one narrow area, SPACE, a spinoff of the UN eNabler Project. covers the entire Learn-Plan-Do-Check cycle for ICT (Information and Communication Technology) services at a global level.   3. Computer Aided Strategic Planner -- How to Get Started Instructions for the First time users Please go to SPACE website at www.space4ict.com On the top bar please click on “Planner” and than click on “Introduction” for a quick overview”.

  4. Planner Learning Corner - Instructions Please check out the “Planner Learning Corner” It provides a short tutorial for the beginners and an overview document. Please take a few minutes to review these documents. You will not get an ID-PW on the Planner unless you have read these introductory documents.

  5. How to get a Guest ID For a quick demo, you should just get a temporary user ID by clicking on “Get Guest ID”. It will automatically log you on to the Planner. The planner is quite intuitive and walks you through all phases. Note: The Guest ID expires in about an hour. After this, just Signup to get a permanent ID-PW to use the Planner.

  6. Click on “?” to get help Please click on “?” to get an explanation of what is going on. The ‘?’ appears on pretty much every page of the Planner. Please do look at explains in the first round – they are quite educational. ?

  11. Strategic Planner – Phase 0 In P0 phase, please choose a country and define its government style and vision. The system will give you some warnings if your strategy is too ambitious for the country (e.g., launching an aggressive egov 2.0 initiative in a country that has very low network readiness). You can ignore these warnings.

  12. Strategic Planner – Phase 1 In P1 phase, please choose a service that you want to implement. You can select any service from vertical sectors such as education, healthcare, and economic development or horizontal sectors such as ICT infrastructure that support all vertical ,sectors

  13. Strategic Planner – Phase 2 In P2 phase, the plan is generated by the system after some cost-benefit analysis. The plan consists of policies, business, technology, and management recommendations based on best practices & standards.

  14. Strategic Planner – Phase 3 and phase 4 In P3 Phase, you can review the Procurement Advisor and in P4 phase, a detailed project management and quality control plan is generated.
