The untapped resources in our Schools… • Take 10 minutes to list all staff who are not currently teaching/in the classroom full time • Continue to add to your list with the other employees, parents, volunteers, volunteer organizations, community supports services etc. • Add staff who are currently assigned to categorical programs e.g. speech therapist, OT, social worker, etc. • This is a brainstorm activity be creative, think outside the box, there are no right or wrong answers.

School Leadership Team • Organize a site Leadership team • Distribute leadership responsibilities across some members of the team, as well as the team as a whole • The Leadership Team supports the school’s vision and promotes a clearly articulated school-wide focus on SAM systems and practices • The Leadership Team utilizes data and fidelity tools for effective, ongoing monitoring of SAM implemnetation • The leadership Team unsures a structured system of coaching support as a means to improve classroom instruction and management • The Leadership Team the school has an established data-driven decision making process to desighn and monitor academic and behavioral interventions.

Chenoweth and Everhart (2002) suggest leadership team mebers should: • Be committed to school-wide change: • Be respected by colleagues; • Possess leadership potential; • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills; and • Be able to start projects and “get things done”
