CBRE is a focal point for innovative bioengineering research and education in Calgary. With over 70 faculty members and 10 Research Chairs, it hosts 150 undergraduates and 90 graduate students annually. The center collaborates with engineering, medicine, kinesiology, science, veterinary medicine, and nursing to foster transdisciplinary research and train forward-thinking bioengineers. It offers unique opportunities for student internships and employment placements. CBRE also facilitates device and product development, testing, and commercialization while promoting collaborations with industry partners and translating research into clinical applications.
