  2. Scott Walch Georgiana Lanius The local computer man known for speaking his mind and making us laugh. Got stinging Nettles and by the powers of heather fixed it, but not before her sandwich rolled in the water. Lisa Roberts All around sports girl with extremely high standards and a cruel attitude towards stuper stud

  3. Peter Mellinger Leslie Kingsley Peter the Stuper Stud is very talkative and makes a good goalie... Leslie is known for her misquito bites and sunburn. She managed to keep a positive attitude and contribute to the group. Jereme leBlanc Jereme is the modern day Romeo who knows quite well how to scale balconies. He is also the group film maker.

  4. Dakota Allstadt Andrew Cook Dakota is an avid dancer and gymnast. She is well known for leading our morning stretches. He is the curly haired criminal and always finds a way to lighten the mood. Michael Ialeggio Mike is an amateur wrestler who knows very well how to flop Stuper Stud. He is also an awesome soccer player.

  5. Michael Tefft Perry Vasta Perry: is someone who speaks her mind. Known for insect bites although she wears 3 sprays. Mike:a real Vermonter and local Baywatch stud. He is a real funny guy and is known well for his tremendous cannon ball. Meghan Ward The trooper of the group even when she couldn’t stand the mugginess. She stayed with us until the end of the tour.

  6. Nate Poore Nate was an interesting guy. He was known for his stories like the cat, or worm, right Nate? Nate is an expert fly fisher. Paul Bierman Heather Fitzgerald Heather is obsessed with trees. She has taught us every detail about trees that we now know. Paul mainly taught us about the equipment. He has made us little geologists.

  7. What We Learned • Buffer strips on the bank serve many purposes. • It maintains plant and animal life while keeping chemicals out. • point bar where we learned about the history of the sand bar, and equipment used for field studies. Day one: Day two: • Population’s of animals that live in the Intervale need riparian buffers and undisturbed fields to successfully reproduce and live in the area. • point bar where we played detective and discovered the history of that land. • the conclusion that the closer to the river we got the newer the land and trees were.

  8. Day three: • Went canoeing and learned about how cows pollute the water. • We tested velocity, length, and temperature as well as making a measurement of how much water flows through the Winooski river . Days four and five: • Day four we went organic strawberry picking and then to a wood burning power plant to learn how the power supplied to the UVM dorms is created. • Melosira (boat) to study water quality, sediments and aquatic life. • Day five, looked at specimens under the scanning electron microscope while the other group went to the library.
