CMS Structure • Software is closely monitored and controlled by SOSS (Software Operation Support & Services) • Baseline is maintained by SOSS • Approximately 80% of the tables are owned by SOSS • Hardware center is located in Salt Lake City referred to as HOSS (Hardware Operation Support & Services)

  4. Where are we now? • Administer Workforce and portions of Recruit Workforce went live on July 1, 2002 • Position Management • Job Requisitions • Applicant Tracking • Hiring • Maintaining all employee data

Administer Base Benefits went live January 2003 • Captures new and updates to employee’s Health; Dental; Vision; Life; Disability; Savings Plans; and FSA data • Administer Training went live February 2003 • Creates and monitors training programs for all employees • Portal • Now view personal & job data • Enter “Emergency Contact” data

Our Future • PS through our Portal • View Benefit Information • e-Benefits targeted for fall 2003 • View Leave Accruals & Balances • Manage Faculty Events • Scheduled for an April 1st Go Live • Captures, tracks and reports on Tenure, Sabbatical, Administrative Posts, Licenses, Education, and WTUs

  7. Time & Labor and LCD scheduled for a July 2004 go live • Provides all labor hours and cost distribution data for budget tracking and reporting • Self Service – Staff • View and apply for vacant jobs • Enroll in or change benefit plans • Enroll in training programs • Enter time and attendance

Self Service – Managers • Create, process and monitor job requisitions. • Approve job actions (e.g. transfers, status changes, etc) • Review employee job data including history • Review and approve time and attendance • Document external training and conference information Note: Specific functionality to be used at our campus will be assessed over the next several months. No actual processes have been decided upon as yet

  9. What does all this mean to BMRT members? • Easier, online access to: • your respective employee job data • reports through the PS Query • position management data • Ultimate goal of significantly reducing paperwork and improving efficiencies with all HREO processes

  10. Demonstration !! • We will: • View the ease of PS Navigation • View a typical position data profile • View a position requisition and applicant tracking file • View a test employee’s job data profile
