Platooning/Pairing, What Is It? • Platooning or pairing is a framework that a grade level uses that allows students to share teachers who are content experts in specific subjects. • Students are assigned a homeroom teacher that teaches more than one subject areas, kiddos transition to the other teacher throughout the day. Each teacher has 110 minutes a day with them.

  7. Grading This is the year to foster independence in your child! Check Your Child's Grades On-Line • Your child’s graded work may be marked with a percentage grade or may simply have a point score such as 12/15. • Mistakes are okay because we learn from them. • Late and missing assignments will affect grades. Late assignments are graded and entered into Infinite Campus at the teacher’s convenience due to not turning it in on the due date.

  8. Homework • Intermediate grades should have 30 – 45 minutes of homework a night. • An additional 15-20 minutes should be devoted to independent reading. • There will be completion grades for homework. • Except for extended assignments or catching up (absences, book reports, science projects, etc.), homework will not be assigned over the weekends. • Incomplete classwork assignments may be sent home for completion.

  9. Field Trips • $30 total fee for the year. Must be paid online through Infinite Campus.
