  6. Reading Reading texts: Wonders Series Nightly Homework: 100 minutes per week. Please initial the reading log in the planner. Additional homework will be assigned in reading.

  13. Our Essential Classroom Rules

  14. Essential Rule #1 When responding to adults, we answer by saying, “Yes, ma’am or “No, sir.” It is not acceptable to say yes or no or nod your head. Type Information here

  15. Essential Rule #2 • When someone is speaking to you, you should keep your eyes on that person at all times.

  16. Essential Rule #3 • If someone in the class wins a game or does something well, you should congratulate that person. Clapping should last three seconds and have an appropriate volume.

  17. Essential Rule #4 During discussions, you should respect other students’ comments, opinions, and ideas, When possible make statements like, “I agree with John, and I also feel that” or “I disagree with Sara. She made a good point, but I feel that.”

  18. Essential Rule #5 If we win or do something well, we do not brag. If we lose, we do not show anger. Congratulating others shows strength. Showing anger or sarcasm shows weakness.

  25. Physical Education • Every student participates in thirty minutes of physical activity each day. • Appropriate attire is mandatory (tennis shoes ONLY) This is required not only for PE but all day due to recess and special events, etc.

  27. Student Expectations Video • Each student will begin the nine weeks with 100 points. If your student receives a behavior check it will be a reduction of 5 pts. If your student receives a work check it will be a reduction of 3 pts.

Celebrations • Friday Weekly Reward • To participate: Students must have no • behavior checks and 1 or less work checks • Mrs. Streetman’s Mid-nine Weeks’ Reward • To participate: Students must have 85 or more points. • Mrs. Streetman’s End of Nine Weeks’ Reward • To participate: Students must have 70 or more points.

  29. Snack and Lunch • No sharing or trading of food • Please make healthy choices • Students are welcome to bring bottled water • Please have the snack ready • (i.e., already have the orange peeled) • Please keep in mind we do have food allergies on our team.
