The Danger of Texting And Driving • Distracted driving endangers life and property and the current levels of injury and loss are unacceptable. • Even though people know that texting and driving is dangerous and can kill innocent people, they keep doing it. “10% of fatal car accidents were reported to involve driver distraction.”

  3. Texting And Driving Laws(Colorado) • Restricts cell phone use while driving because of “4,691 accidents in 2008 were attributed to inattentive driving; this category includes talking on cell phones.”

  5. How can we Prevent accidents Don't be tempted: turn off your cell phone. Let voicemail capture your voice and text messages. If you have to call or text while driving, pull off the road safely and stop. Recognize that text messaging can be a habit. Get support from your friends by letting them know you are working on breaking the texting habit. If you think you will still be tempted to text and drive, put your phone somewhere you can't reach it, like the trunk. Take control of your cell phone, don't let it control you. You are the only one who decides when and if you send and read a text message.

  6. Teen Driving laws • Keep your driver(s) safe – Stop them from texting, emailing, web surfing, gaming or even distracting phone calls, whenever they are driving… • You can make the change!
