  3. APUS ActivitiesObjectives: Try to prepare students with skills and knowledge for AP test in May. Make activities effective, applicable, and fun. Get students out of the classroom to “touch” history. Learn about Saratoga History. • In Class Activities • Lectures • Review Activities (Simulations, Smackdowns, maps) • Quizzes and Tests (MC, Essay, and online) • Out of Class • Volunteer Saratoga Museum-2 hours • Power Hours • History Day Competition • San Francisco Walking Tour (December break) • Washington, D.C. (Spring Break) • Parent Meeting Sept. 22nd after Junior Meeting in McAfee

Communication by parents, students, and teacher is critical. • 2 Oops Passes for homework • Unlimited Test “Debriefs” (bring test/quiz grade up to 70%, maximum of 10 pts on test, 4 points on quiz) • Tutorials are same topic all week. • “liberal” interpretation of Extra Credit • Monday Mr. T “Check-in” • Update Website and Aeries weekly • I will send mass emails to students via Aeries. • Awareness of “weekend homework”
