The 2nd New Deal • The economy is still lagging after the second one • Unemployment is still very high • Businesses aren’t investing • Consumer Confidence is still very low! • Eleanor Roosevelt is pushing for more direct relief for the poor and hardest hurt… she often was that voice for her husband • This 2nd New Deal had more relief for farmers and workers
