Cyber Monday? • Refers to the Monday immediately following Black Friday, the ceremonial kick-off of the holiday online shopping season in the United States between Thanksgiving and Christmas![ • "Cyber Monday" symbolizes a busy day for online retailers. The premise was that consumers would return to their offices after the Black Friday weekend, making purchases online that they were not able to make in stores. $$$$$$$ • Cyber Monday has evolved into a significant marketing event in which online retailers offer low prices and promotions.

Do’s for Resume Writing: • Mail your resume in 9 x 12 envelope – Do NOT fold! • Use action words like developed, organized, designed, etc. • Send with cover letter • Check your spelling • Use short paragraphs or phrases • Use 11 or 12pt fonts • Present your self in a postive manner • Have someone proof read your resume

Do’s for Resume Writing: • Use bold/caps to make all section headings stand out • Revise your resume for the postion that you are applying for • Make your resume easy to read • Stress your past accomplishments and skills • Type your resume (WORD!) • Use a 2 page resume if appropriate • Avoid the word ‘work’ • Do proofread your resume – ‘Have a friend proofread your resume!’ • Revise your resume for each job position

Don’ts for Resume Writing: • Don’t use the word ‘Resume’ or ‘I’ • Don’t include previous/current salary • Don’t add photographs • Do not include age/birthdate • Do not use colorful paper • Don’t use too many different fonts • Do not make your resume more than 2 pages • Don’t make things up or lie! • Don’t use jargons or buzz words • Do not include your desired salary • Don’t list a quirky e-mail address

Don’t for Resume Writing: • Don’t list high school if you are college graduate • Don’t include your weight • No hobbies • Don’t list references right on your resume • Don’t staple your resume • Don’t repeat same action words throughout the resume • Don’t leave out dates • Don’t include salary or reasons for leaving previous jobs.
