  2. Culture-Religion 95% of Iraq people are Muslim. 54% are Shi’ah. 41% are Sunni. And there is a very small population of Jews. A Muslim couple!!

  3. Culture-Language Other languages are: Turkish, Aramaic, Kurdish, Armenian, and Pertain. Arabic is the official language. Muslim people!!!

  4. Culture-holidays Jan. 1:New Years Day!!! Dec.18: Islamic New Year!!! Dec.27: Ashura!!! And a lot more holidays!!! ; Islam's celebrating Islamic New Year!!

  5. Clothing-Culture Women might wear Abayah to cover their faces and all the rest of their body down to their toes. Majority of men wear Dishdashah. Here are some women wearing Abayah!!!

  6. Iraq’s history Southern Iraq at about 5300 BC is where the Sumerians culture began . In 2125 BC, the Sumerian of Ur in southern Mesopotamia rose up in revolt. In 2340 BC, the great Akkadian leader Sargon conquered Sumer and built the Akkadian empire stretching over most of the Sumerian city-states and extended far away as Lebanon.   9. Interesting Information Iraq= “country of deep roots” They eat three meals a day!! Ghidaa is what they eat for lunch and they eat what's called Baklava for dessert. this is Baklava!!!

  10. Geography Absolute location is 35 degrees north and 445 degrees east. The relative location is= in Asia A map of Asia!!!

  11. Economy Iraq is a developing country for many reasons on reason is the number of televisions they have 333 per 1000 people. Another reason is the life expectancy is 69.62 years. The last reason is they have 115 billion barrels of oil. An Iraqi Diner Note!!!
