TECH-CONNECTIONS for EESL 650: Wikis • Requirements • Each project group will establish a wiki. • Used to collaborate and create course projects • Invited contributors will include each group member and all course instructors. • Getting Started • Go to www.wikispaces.com • Choose “Tours” • Follow instructions to set-up wiki. • Note: Invite each group member and all course instructors to contribute.

TECH-CONNECTIONS for EESL 650: Wikis • Inviting Contributors • Go to your wiki. • On the left, choose “Manage Wiki”. • Choose “Invite People”. • Enter the email addresses of all instructors. • cbhunt6.02@gmail.com • cindycox920@hotmail.com • Add the email addresses of your project group members.

TECH-CONNECTIONS for EESL 650: Blogs • Requirements • Each student will establish a blog. • Used to reflect on topics related to teaching math and science to ELLs. • Invited classmates will engage in blogging with the blog author. • Getting Started • Go to www.blogger.com/start • Under “Learn More”, choose “Take a quick tour” • Choose “create a blog”. Follow instructions. • You will invite all instructors and the designated class members to your blog.

  7. TECH-CONNECTIONS for EESL 650: Podcasts Selecting Podcasts Podcasts must be related to strategies for teaching math and science to ELLs. Podcasts must be available at no cost to view or download. Podcasts must be appropriate for use in K-12 settings. Posting Podcasts Go to the class wiki at the link below Math Science Podcasts for ELL for EESL 650 Read the first page. Follow directions to explore the wiki. Follow directions to post your podcasts and review the podcasts of others.

  8. TECH-CONNECTIONS for EESL 650: Final Notes Make note of questions to ask Saturday. WIKIS Each student will set-up a wiki to use as a collaborative tool for teachers or students. Each student will set-up a wiki. Each group member will have a page at that wikispace. We will monitor progress of the project using the wikispace your team designates. BLOGS Each student will set-up a blog. Each student will invite designated classmates and all instructors to participate in your blog. Each student will participate in the class blog. PODCASTS Each student will locate and review 2 science-ELL, and 2 math-ELL podcasts; review podcasts posted by designated classmates. Podcasts will be posted on the designated class wikispace.
