  10. Program – Our speaker today was to have been Rex Hess but he was still not well,

  11. so David Lin quickly put together a presentation of his family trip to Quebec this past June.

  12. Two of his sisters were turning 50 and 60 years old, so the family (6 kids and Mom) got together for the trip.

  13. They eat weird things when they get together.

  14. They stayed in a beautiful

  15. 3 bedroom,

  16. 3 bath condo

  17. which had a full kitchen and…

  18. cost $700 per night.

  19. The cruise ship terminal was just across the street.

  20. Quebec is like going to France without going so far. The temperature ranged from 70 degrees during the day to 40 degrees at night.

  21. They visited “old town” which was very lovely, friendly, and the landscape was hilly.

  22. They did a lot of walking, English was spoken at the tour headquarters and many other languages could be heard walking around, but French is the language they are most proud of and that they prefer to speak.

  23. The scenery is very colorful and clean but the streets became crowded during the day, so they would go home and take a nap during that time.

  24. The city is very safe. There were many open fresh fruit markets. A dozen organic eggs was $5. There were liquor stores where he found a special kind of beer that was quite tasty.

  25. Under the viaduct is usually very ugly so the city persuaded the Cirque de Soleil to present free shows every night. They decorate and wear colorful costumes and perform high-quality entertainment.

  26. Pictures included: Cannons guarding the city, a ferry to the island, a waterfall just outside the city and a reindeer farm. The money exchange rate is 1 to 1. David said Quebec is a very nice place to hang out.

  34. and Ted Gonsiorowski because his cell phone rang.

  35. Rich King bragged for Urbana having won the football game, “Go Urbana!”

  36. Tom then read a very funny story to us…

  37. A couple was invited to a swanky masked Halloween Party. She got a terrible headache and told her husband to go to the party alone. He, being a devoted husband, protested, but she argued and said she was going to take some aspirin and go to bed, and there was no need of his good time being spoiled by not going. So he took his costume and away he went. The wife, after sleeping soundly for one hour, awakened without pain, and as it was still early, she decided to go to the party. In as much as her husband did not know what her costume was, she thought she would have some fun by watching her husband to see how he acted when she was not with him. She joined the party and soon spotted her husband cavorting around on the dance floor, dancing with every nice chick he could, and copping a little feel here and a little kiss there. His wife moved on up to him and being a rather seductive babe herself, he left his partner high and dry and devoted his time to the new stuff that had just arrived. She let him go as far as he wished; naturally, since he was her husband. Finally he whispered a little proposition in her ear and she agreed, so off they went to one of the cars and had a little romp. Just before unmasking at midnight, she slipped away and went home and put the costume away and got into bed, wondering what kind of explanation he would make for his behavior. She was sitting up reading when he came in and asked what kind of a time he had. He said, "Oh, the same old thing. You know I never have a good time when you're not there." Then she asked, "Did you dance much?" He replied, "I'll tell you, I never even danced one dance. When I got there, I met Pete, Bill Brown and some other guys, so we went into the den and played poker all evening. But I'll tell you... the guy I loaned my costume to sure had a real good time!"
